A few months ago we signed Ivy up for a children's musical theater workshop that culminated in a Jr. production of Annie. The show was abridged to run only an hour and the parts were doubled up. Ivy got the part of "Ashley" which is basically Annie's little friend who goes along with her to Warbuck's mansion etc. She got to sing all of Annie's songs with her and basically be a little "mini-me" of Annie. Last night we attended the performance and it was cute! I love shows like this that display young talent. You can definitely see the ones that will probably go on to do this the rest of their life.
Ivy was one of the youngest cast members. Such a tiny thing up on that stage. She has such a beautiful voice. I look forward to seeing her progress and mature as a vocalist over the years. Such a sweet, focused little sound. Here she is singing "Maybe".
